Addonics has a modular approach to the interface end of things.
But I doubt they'd cover all the requirements. Still, I like
the concept, as it could make for a more flexible pile of
bits and pieces.

OWC (macsales.com) is one place you might find 1394B, as they're a
Mac shop. One thing I notice about product lines for Mac users,
is they don't seem to like fans.

On generic enclosures you might see on Newegg, at least fans are still
present (some have them, and some don't). And I happen to like fans
for hard drive enclosures. It is something I insist on, when
buying.
I've also been known to drill extra holes for ventilation,
as some enclosure products have a fan -- but no intake vent :-(
It makes you wonder, what were they smoking when they came up
with that idea.
