Not recognizing the recording part of my dvd/cd drive

I posted earlier about my drive not seeing blank cd's. I've switched the old
and new out and back and I get no recording tab in my properties dialog box.
I'm at a loss to what the problem is. Can any body help?

rt column 11 down. Restore Dvd/Cdr drives
to Explorer.
