Strange Problem With NexxTech External DVD RW Drive

The drive will not recognize any DVD+or-RW disks
which have been written to, not even if the NexxTech
did the writting.

It has no problems writting to new or erased disks and
the disks it creates can be read in my other DVD drives.

Any ideas?

Does it read manufactured CD's/DVD's?
Different lasers are used for reading and writing so one may have failed.
Try a lens cleaner disc before condemning the drive.

Thanks for the reply. Yes it does read manufactured CD's/DVD's
and CD or DVD's written on it that are not RW cd or dvd's.
