BIOS update---

Before I fix something thats "not broke"
I am running XP Pro SP2 on a new notebook and keep getting the message
that there is a new BIOS update available for download and then says
that the Flash program should be loaded first.
Would this be an improvement to the system which seems to be OK ?
Your advice please, Richard

Unless you have a problem don't update the bios.

This update is not part of any version of Windows. This is possibily
an update the the manufacturer of the laptop has published for the
notebook. Contact the manufacturer's tech support and ask them what
is their support policy if the BIOS update fails.

Only if it is from the manufacturer.
