Left-click on file in an inactive, open folde, folder remains inac
One on of my two office PCs, both running Windows XP professional, when I
left-click on a file in an inactive but open folder, the file is highlighted
but the window does not become active at the same time. Therefore, when I
copy and paste, the previously-selected file is used rather than one I
left-clicked on.

On the second PC, the window immediately becomes active when I left-click on
a file in it. Does anyone know what I need to do to the first PC to make it
behave the same way?

Thanks,
Bruce

Single and doubleclick behavior is set in Folder Options in Control Panel.

Re: Left-click on file in an inactive, open folde, folder remains
Mark,

Thank you for the suggestion, but there doesn't seem to be anything in
Folder Options that refers to this particular situation.
