Unable to login to any websites after cancelled Disc Clean
1. Click on Disc Clean as I have been doing on a regular basis for years.
2. Cancelled the operation.
3. When I tried to log on to any website, I received an Error Message
something "Null" and that I may have typed the web address incorrectly.
I cannot connect to any of my Favorites. Not Microsoft, Google,
Yahoo...nothing.
4. What is unusual, is that my home page opens up and,
5. I can run my Norton live update and it connects.
6. I have IE ver. 7

In Internet Explorer, click tools menu, and "Delete Browser history", and
delete all.

Re: Unable to login to any websites after cancelled Disc Clean
Mark,

Sorry, because I neglected to included some important information, your
suggestion did not help, but I added another post: UNABLE to login to
websites after cancelled Disc Clean II. In which I included more information.

I neglected to mention...I was using IE ver 7. but I did not mention that I
not only lost my ability to connect to any websites, I lost
the tabs. and when I tried your suggestion there was no "Delete Browser
History"
in the "Tools" tab. but the version still shows: Version: 7.0.5730.11

It has the look of an older version.

Re: Unable to login to any websites after cancelled Disc Clean
I read the other post, and to be honest, I'm not sure what would be best
from here. It depends on what you have installed. If IE 7 (if you use it)
will uninstall, I would take it out in Add/remove, and reinstall it. If (IE
6) 'native' to your system, I would run a Repair setup of XP.
