SP2 installation from CD problem: DATA Error (cyclic redundancy ch

I am reinstalling Windows XP Professional. then installing SP2 via CD.
About halfway through loading files, error message: Data Error (cyclic
redundancy check). I click OK and the installation process stops.
Please Help.

You either have a bad burn of the setup disks, or there is a problem on the
hard drive. Probably not the drive, since you do a check of the disk before
setup. You should try another copy of the setup files.
