CD DVD Problem
Hello readers,

I replaced an old IDE cd rom with a new SATA DVD rom. My PC for some odd
reason wont boot without the old cd rom. I have the power connected but not
the IDE cable and as soon as I take the power out my old cd rom, my pc starts
to reboot over and over. I have taken out the drive from the BIOS and I don't
see it anywhere, but still I haven't being able to figure out what the
problem is. As far as the drivers goes everything looks to be working
properly under Systems.

Any Help would be appreciated

Re: CD DVD Problem
At a guess, you are set to first boot to CD. If you go into BIOS settings
you can change that to boot to hard drive first.

bios setup access keys. Go to:

Please verify that the hard drive is not set to "slave." The only
problem I see is that the PC is waiting to find a master IDE drive,
which could have been the CD drive.
