SP2 Installation Error

I am reinstalling XP Pro, followed up by SP2 via a CD. About half way thru
loading files, an error occurs: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check). Once
I click OK, it closes the installation.

Help.

It seems that CD drive may have problems with reading the SP2 CD.

Since you are re-installing XP, you should have created a new XP
install CD by "slipstreaming" the SP2 directly into it.

Odds are that the CD is bad--I'd try another one.
