Cluster size problem

I converted a drive from FAT32 to NTFS and ended up with 512 byte clusters.
I did not know this was a problem until reading posts on this list and by
then it was too late. What can I do now?

I tried using Acronis True Image to copy the partition (C to another drive
(D, but ended up with 512KB clusters there as well. I tried formatting D:
with 4KB clusters and copying all the files using robocopy, but some files
that were in use did not get copied and I can't boot to the new drive.

What else can I try to get a bootable drive with 4KB clusters.

Robocopy won't, but Xcopy will. With the right switches you can get the
whole drive. Open a dos prompt on XP and look at xcopy /? for the syntax.

I know you can do this with Norton's Partition Magic. Unfortunately, I can't
find a trial version to download.

In that case, you might want to try the trial version of Acronis Disk Director
Suite 10.0. According to its web site, you should be able to change cluster
size.
