FIRST, let me say that I am Honored to recieve your reply- I peruse your
Winhelponline site routinely, and have benefited enormously from it. You are,
as the young kids would say, one of my "Idols" in the IT field. Thank you,

To the point at hand: I never thought of that! I have always used the
desktop toolbar. I just disabled it, and experimented for a few minutes
without any manifestation of the problem I described. I will be using the
system for several hours today, and will reply again tonite or tomorrow to
this post with the results.
Thank you again, sir, for what may turn out to be an incredibly simple
answer to an annoying problem....
