Remote assistance customisation
Hi,

I was wondering if anybody knew if and how you can customise the xp remote
assistance. I would like to set it up so that there was an icon on the
desktop that emailed a remote assistance request to a specific (and only
this) email address, and that the ticket was valid for only a specified
amount of time. The user would then only be propted for their name and a
description of the problem.

thanks

David

Have you tries using Net Messenger / Windows Live Messenger - it has a
remote assistance feature that will only invite the Messenger contact
you choose (In Messenger you go to Actions/ Request remote assistance)

Re: Remote assistance customisation
Hi,

thanks fo rthe reply.

Messenger can not be used. It owuld require the user to have a messenger
account and also due to company policy it is not allowed, so is blocked
through the firewall.
