No explorer.exe?!
All of a sudden, I can't open an explorer window by invoking
explorer.exe. The shortcut in start menu does nothing, nor does typing
"explorer.exe" in from "Run..." or the command line. Even doing c:
\windows\explorer.exe does nothing.
I can still open specific directories by using the directory name in a
shortcut or "start" command. But all the features that you get from
the explorer command line (I'm a particular fan of "/e,/
root, somthing") are now unavailable. Damned nuisance.
I think this started with the latest MS update.

Re: No explorer.exe?!
maybe you can go through
the task manager.
my suggestion would be to
"end the process" then invoke
it via "new task"
there may be a possibility that
the issue you are having is
indicative of a problem with
your registry.
