Icon problems

I have an XP Pro SP2 machine that is having problems with the system icons.
i.e. when you double click My Computer, you get the "Open With" dialogue,
instead of it opening "My Computer" the same problem happens if you try to
access my computer from the Start Menu. It seems all system icons do the same
thing. (My Computer, My Documents, My Network Places & Recycle Bin) They all
want to open the "Open With" Dialogue.

You can get to these areas by right clicking the Start Menu and choosing
"Explore".

Does anyone have any ideas what may be happening?

And not any MVP can vouch for him being a MVP either - and his pirated
HOST file blocks access to MVP sites also.

So the site gives me a big X and tells me it might be bad, but then
tells me down below it looks good.
So how do you suggest I interpret this site? This looks like very
little help personally.

That's because Site advisor allows anyone to say anything they want about
any website without any type of verification of who's who. The only
verification they had was to prove I was the owner before it allowed me to
post a comment. It is only red because more negative posts by trolls then
actual users of my stuff, but did you notice there's no reply to the clean
scans of my software made by site advisor. My site and my software is safe.

Why do you have a site filled with pornographic images that you proudly
spread in various Usenet groups that were visited by kids?

Why did you get banned from posting in MS Usenet groups for so long?

Why do the MVP's host file have your site blocked?

Why do none of the MVP's know about your MVP status and why don't you
show up on the MVP site anywhere?
