"Microsoft windows" startup displays but everything becomes invisi
My Inspiron 8500 runing Microsoft XP which was working good until now,
behaves odd after a recent reboot. We can see the BIOS bootup, the operating
system logo flash for a couple of secnods and then everything turns blank.
The hard disk continues to be active, so is the network card.

What could be happening? How do I proceed to troubleshoot?
