My registry is messed up

I messed up my registry using regedit and now my computer can't properly open
windows explorer or files on CD or DVD rom discs.

I've tried all of the registry cleaners, but they just crash my computer.

Is there anyone who can help me if I show them a copy of my registry log?

Hello,

Can you do a System Restore to a time when all was OK? This would
restore your Registry.

No unfortunately it was too long ago when the damage was done.

I'm trying to find a way to pinpoint the damage and repair my existing
registry.
