Install Shield Error Sp2

Help please: On trying to run an installation of a program that works
perfectly well on my laptop, but apparently not on this PC, I get this
message:

Install shield dll custom action
"the dll being called is crashed"

I have run "Registry Smart" and fixed errors there but it makes no difference.
What would be the solution to the problem?

The best place to look for a solution is the InstallShield website:
http://consumer.installshield.com/ . There are articles describing error
resolution, hopefully including your problem.
