How can I post in OE?
I tried to post question from OE but couldn't. I can view threads, but can't
reply or post. How should I set to be able to do so?

RE: How can I post in OE?
I mean, in OE, it seems I have posted, message I write goes to Sent box,
there is no error. But it just doesn't appear even after one day.

Re: How can I post in OE?
You are probably clicking "Reply" instead of "Reply Group". Reply sends it
email.

Re: How can I post in OE?
No I click 'Reply Group', and I cannot post new message either.
But I can post to other newsgroups in same OE (non-microsoft).

When you pick a message and hit 'reply group', the compose screen comes
up. Does it have a news group in the "To:" box?
The only other thing I can suggest is that you use msnews.microsoft.com
as a server and not your provider. Your ISP may have an update problem.
You need no login / password for msnews.

Re: How can I post in OE?
Yes, I do use msnews.microsoft.com as a server.
When I 'reply group', or when I post a new message, the compose screen comes
up and it has a news group in the 'To:' box.
Thanks.

Re: How can I post in OE?
No. It first appears in Outbox, then in 1-2 seconds goes to Sent box. But I
never see it appear in newgroup thenafter. I tried many times on different
msnews.microsoft.com newsgroups. I do have other non-microsoft newsgroup in
which I cannot post, but for that newsgroup message stays in Outbox and I get
failure notice. For this microsoft one, I never get failure but it just
doesn't appear. I can only do it on web.
Does it have anything to do with login? Because I use a fake email in OE.

Re: How can I post in OE?
It could be your fake address. Some ISPs will not accept any outgoing mail
unless it's from their domain or if the e-mail client is not configured
properly.
Try re-doing your fake address so that domain name is correct and only your user
name is fake.
Also, make sure that you have a correct e-mail address and password in the
property settings in your MAIL account. Do you have any problems sending or
receiving in the mail account? Don't forget that it's your ISP that's sending
out newsgroup messages, so the MAIL settings have to be correct.

Re: How can I post in OE?
Very odd! Just now I posted a reply (which was the same as below) and I saw
it appear in this thread. Now I navigate through 'All Newsgroups by
Language', Windows, XP, 'Start-Help and Support...', it is the same thread
because I saw all previous posts, but my recent reply (as below) disappeared!
To answer David, at the same time I have some other newsgroup, in same OE,
that I can
post or reply, with the same fake email address. So I guess it should not be
the ISP issue.
