Disable personal menus
I cannot disable personal menus in XP for both the start menu and favorite
menu. I arrange them in the order I want and after each restart they are
back in alphabetical order. I even modified the group policy by runing
gpedit.msc and disabled personal menus in the administrator settings. How
the heck do I disable personal menus? I am at a loss. Thanks and have a nice
day.

Just a guess: Are you referring to the menus in a Microsoft Office
application like Word, Excel, etc.?

If so, the options for these menus are not in the Windows XP options, they
are in the Office application options. Open the Office application and go
to Tools/Customize/Options Tab. Place a check mark in the "Always use full
menus" option.

Re: Disable personal menus
I am referring to the xp start menu and ie favorites menu. I have already
checked on your suggestion, but that did not fix the problem. Thanks for the
response.
