You might not fool with the regedit settings....Either way,youre MB chip set
installation utility activates the USB controllers,along with SP2 for xp.Go
to
the boards mfg web site (intel,amd,etc) locate the utility for youre chipset,
the latest utilities dont always work,maybe match up with that mfg MB with
same chip...Also,if something been disabled,tap the F8 key on pc start,select
safe mode,enter xp as administrator,edit the settings,restart pc,then install
utility...
