Found New Hardware Wizard

Found New Hardware Wizard
In adding a new printer to our XP home computer, the Found new Hardware
Wizard was bypassed. Now it can't add any new hardware or software. Can it
be reinstalled? It won't let me update or add any new drivers. All of the
programs installed before the HP printer still work fine, so I'm guessing the
tech who helped us get the printer installed, which was a royal pain, must
have undone the Wizard and didn't reinstall it. Whatever happened, it no
longer functions and I need it to!

Well that didn't work. I found it, but it hadn't been altered from it's
original name. Can a protected file be updated? I need some way to add
drivers to my system. I can't even update the MS drivers because the wizard
can't find them to do it.

Have you tried going to the Control Panel and clicking on Add/Remove
hardware icon?
