check disk runs everytime I boot

Hi, Everytime I start my computer "check disk" pops up and says it is
scheduled to run. Then I get "hit any key to cancel" which I do. Does
anyone know how I stop this? Thanks

It probably sees a 'dirty' flag and wants to run to fix and repair it.
At the end it will clear that dirty flag. Then it should not run again.
Or at least this is the normal procedure. Let it run once completely.

Well maybe your files were corrupted. .So your Pc try to recover your
files. .

The next time you reboot, don't cancel CHKDSK. Odds are, if you let it
finish, it won't keep trying to run.

If it does still try to run, back up all of your critical data
immediately. Then download the pertinent diagnostic tool from the hard
drive manufacturer's web site, and test your hard drive. Be prepared to
replace it.
