Windows Startup Hanging
I have this problem when I am at the log in screen (when you choose the
user and enter the password). This site takes a long time to process
the password and open the user account. Is there a setting I need to
change to speed this up? I've performed a disk cleanup and defrag, no
difference.

Thanks!

Re: Windows Startup Hanging
well, there is a
registry setting that
can bypass the login
request page and take
you directly to the
desktop.

however, the automatic
mode above would likely
also stall as well because
you may have an issue
with the o.s. or hardware.

one test you can try is
to boot into safemode
and see if the safemode
environment is quicker.

there are two that you
can try 1) safemode and
2) safemode with networking

safemode with networking
will permit the hardware/
modem to load.

Re: Windows Startup Hanging
The only hardware I have installed is a wireless network card. The
printer is accessed via the wireless network.

I'll give the safe mode boot a try. Thanks!
