what does this and that do?
What does "Bonjour Service, mDNSResponder.exe, Apple Inc.," do? I mean if
I'm not using it why the h*** is it running? Other than Apple stuff is so
damn difficult to shut-down _permanently_. And, this darn thingie is
"automatic startup" too!
And while I'm asking, what does this do: "iPod Service, iPodService.exe,
Apple Inc.," which is in startup but not running. Again, if I'm not using
this why have it?
The same w/ Apple's: "Apple Mobile Device, AppleMobileDeviceService.exe,
Apple, Inc.," running as automatic in startup. What does it do? What it
for?
Cripes! Apple sucks. Big time.
WinXP Home, SP2
And, thanks for any responses. Regards.

Re: what does this and that do?
We did not put that on your system....and its not part and parcel of
XP..which only leaves you and yours as the culprit!!
So if you don't want it.....uninstall..delete...stop service...do whatever
it takes
...just don't expect your or yours IPOD to work..........

Re: what does this and that do?
Thank you, peterk, for your input. No matter that it doesn't answer my
query. And, what makes you assume that I knowingly and willingly downloaded
something that I haven't a clue as to what it is or does or what happens
next if deleted. Again, your response is appreciated but misplaced.
FYI, try a google on these files. Note that other folks are questioning the
"whys" of this Apple dupe. And, yes, I will take your advice I shall
"ignore" any further postings from you, and I hope that you do the same per
your "disclaimer."
Have a nice day.
