Windows Search with Domain Logon
I have Windows Search 4 on both my home machine and my machine at work. At
home I automatically logon with an administrator account. At work I logon to
the domain as a Power User. At home I can rebuild the search index by simply
clicking on the Rebuild button in Advanced Options. The number of items
indexed so far immediately goes to zero and indexing starts. This does not
happen at work with a domain user logon. The Rebuild button seems to have no
effect. We are using W2K Server and Active Directory. Is there something I
need to do on the server to allow domain users to rebuild their indexes? Is
there another newsgroup more appropriate for this question? Thanks in advance
for any help!
