Driver problems

Just reinstalled WinXP Home SP3 into new box and XP won't let me install
the original drivers for keyboard mouse and monitor. I therefore lose
all the special features of those drivers.
Is there any way I can make XP accept these drivers, even though they
predate the new Plug & Play drivers?
