Re: Task bar on the left
Right click on the taskbar and make sure that "lock the taskbar" isn't checked.
To move the Taskbar, move your mouse cursor to where the time is currently displayed on
the Taskbar.
Once your mouse cursor is over the time, click and hold the mouse button down, and while
holding the mouse button down, move your cursor to the middle edge of where you want the
Taskbar to be.
To return the Taskbar back to its original position, move the cursor to the bottom center
of the screen.
When the Taskbar has moved to its new location, release the button.
When you're finished you may now wish to locked the taskbar to avoid accidental moving.

Although by default the task bar appears on the bottom of the screen,
it can be on any of the sides you prefer it on. To move it from any
side to another, simply click on an unused part of it and drag it
where you want it. Be sure to click *within* it, not on the edge;
clicking on the edge and dragging will resize it.
If it won't move, it may be locked. In that case, right click on it
and uncheck "Lock the taskbar," then try again.

It's called the "Common Tasks Bar."
To get rid of it, go to Doug Knox's site, http://www.dougknox.com. On
the left, click Win XP Fixes, then Remove Common Tasks from Desktop.

It's a ZoneAlarm problem. ZoneAlarm has fixed it, and there's a new
version available to download on their web site.
