Explorer.exe- Application Error

Hi Guys
I was dowloading pictures from a friend s disks, and the following
message appeared.* The instruction at "0x77d4ecc6"referenced memory at
"0x77d4ecc6".The memory could not be written.*

If I click ok or cancel to terminate nothing happens.Ican not restart
from pressing start because nothing works.
Please help

try the pressing
ctrl + alt + del
keys together.

you should be
able to gain some
control back.

pressing the key
combination twice
should also reboot
your system.
