Disk Cleanup trouble
I ran Disk Cleanup and the Windows components removal utility. I thought I
unchecked the boxes for Internet Explorer and Accessories, but they are now
gone. How can I restore them? I've tried System Restore, but it hasn't
worked.

Re: Disk Cleanup trouble
IE 7 is not the default XP version, and can be downloaded from Windows
Update.

Run Add/Remove Windows Components again and this time make sure everything you
want to keep installed has a check mark next to it. As you've found out, if you
uncheck an item it will be uninstalled. Check off Internet Explorer and
Accessories to restore them.

Keep in mind that entries in Add/Remove Windows Components that are already
installed will show up with a check mark next to them. Leaving the check mark
there does not mean that the item is reinstalled. Think of the check mark as a
toggle switch. Checked means keep, unchecked means remove.

Good luck
