Drive mappings
I am having a problem with xp mapping drives. After a user logs in (server
2003) their server drives are mapped. When they try to plug in a usb camera,
ext drive, etc...windows will not assign it to an open drive letter. Is
there a setting I can use to open it up to search for ALL open drive letters
instead of just the standard D: through G: ??

Re: Drive mappings
Start/run, type:
diskmgmt.msc

Any device seen by windows will be there to help you assign a letter to it.

XP up to SP2 has a bug which can cause this. SP3 fixes this
in most cases.
