Sudden CHange in Sign-on/Sign-Off Protocol
For reasons that I cannot explain, my laptop suddenly changed to a protocol
similar to what I am used to in the office on my non-laptop machine, where it
asks for my password to get in and gives me a selection to sign out where I
am asked to choose among restarting, hibernating, starting with a new
password, etc. I did not knowingly change anything on my laptop to cause it
to do this, and I would like to go back to the way it was before. Any ideas?
Thanks a lot.

Dell Latitude D620
Windows XP (version 3)
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Somehow, your laptop has turned off the 'Use Welcome Screen..' and
reverted to the old "classic" Windows 2000 login screen.

Click on;

1- Start
2- Control Panel
3- User Accounts
4- Change the way users log on or off
5- Make sure a Checkmark is in the square box next to "Use the Welcome
Screen"
