Multiple monitors on XP

Hi all,
I am using multiple monitors with XP SP2, the laptop monitor (Compaq
6910p) and an external monitor (HP 2035).
It works fine as long as I leave the external monitor (2nd) on the
right side, if I drag it on the left, cause it is phisically on my left
side, when I lock the computer and I unlock it again, the monitor is
back to the right and I don't see anymore the windows I moved there. If
I drag it again on the left I can see all the windows again.
I tried to restart the computer but I still have the problem, does
anybody knows how to solve it?
