changing profile and internet stops???

hi all,

hoping someone can assist me with an internet connection issue. I have 3
profiles set-up on my pc, me, wife and son. Up untilk last night i could use
the internet on all three accounts, but this morning, mine will not access
the internet. The icon next to the clock(i'm not a coputer guru) says that
the signal strength is very good and internet is connected, but any page
search states there is no connection. When i change accounts it workd ok. I
have tried resetting modem etc, but i am at a loss as 2 out of the 3 accounts
work ok. I was not on my account last night when on the pc, so i cant see how
i changed a setting, i was using my sons account.

Addendum : system restore to when it was working correctly .

thanks jim,

ive tried system restore to when it was working ok, didn't work, so tried
further back, still didnt work.
