Is it possible to use an XP Pro CD to repair an XP Home installation?

What does "repair" mean? If, as the Subject suggests, you want to do a
repair install...you need a Home CD to repair a Home installation. And
whatever CD you use must be at the same service pack as the existing
installation.

No. It must be the same media. Meaning to repair XP Home you need XP Home with same SP and if OEM it has to be the same as your computer manufacturer used. HP,Toshiba etc all have different OEM install media's

No. Pro needs a Pro, and Home needs a Home.
