auto detect

I need help my packard bell i media computer is failing to boot. I get a
message auto detect cannot detect pri master -abort press f3. I have
checked cables. I am new to computing.

It could mean your hard drive has failed.
Is the drive detected in the bios.?
Often you hit the Delete key continuously as soon as you switch on the PC,
but PB may use another key, then check if the hard disk is 'seen'

Got into bios it says
floppy A 1.44 MB 3.5
floppy b not installed
pri ide master not installed
pri ide slave not installed
sec ide samsung cdrw/dvd s
sec ide slave not installed
