Hi Jon,
It could be because the Sync application didn't release the memory back to
the system, causing this error/pop-up window to appear!.
Did you tried to Run the System File checker (SFC) on this machine, also I
will check for User account damaged or corruption by creating another account
with the same files/folder/privileges and test to see if the same issue will
arise with this one and you know the rest if been success copy the data from
the old profile to the new one and delete the old.
Any error in the Event Viewer will be a bonus.
