I too, had a crashed laptop with a corupt file. It would not reboot no
matter what I did with my XP setup disk. So finally one night I put my Vista
setup Disk in the drive and it started to read it. I left it in all night
and the next morning I was able to boot it and reinstalled XP. One bad
result, I can't get any sound and I get an error message that I have no
Audio. I have been working on this for about 4 days and I finally came
accross something in WinDVD that said with Intervideo Windows would not play
any music. So I am going to uninstall it and see what happens.
