Removing network users from Documents and Settings
I'm working on something to 'refresh' a PC without performing a
complete disk wipe. What I'm trying to do is to remove extra profiles
from the system, mainly from the Documents and Settings folder. The
users are not local users, but are members of a domain, so it will be
relatively easy to determine which ones should remain.
My question is this: Programmatically, do I just need to wipe out the
directory trees for the network users from Documents and Settings, or
does it go deeper than that? Do I need to have some kind of registry
editing tool that will purge their settings from the registry?
This isn't a security issue, just a way to free up some disk space
from a PC that will be reused by contractors. They need to have a
pretty pristeen system when they login.
