light msn version?

light msn version?
hi there,

is there a light, old version of msn messenger?
msn live is so heavy (i have around 850 contacts), and it is very slow.

now im using msn 3.0 but it doesnt display images.
what version do you feel to suggest?

Beyond the options already suggested with the various filtering options, if you're looking
for a true fast IM, you could try out Miranda, which I usually recommend for people with
slower PCs:
http://www.miranda-im.org

Don't expect too much functionality -- but it is really fast.

i filtered offline contacts, but still msn overloads cpu and memory :S

what do you suggest to do ?

ps: i dont use msg plus live, and no other patch

Filtering will just hide the contacts -- won't do much for performance or memory really.
