Windows xp media center

Good morning -recently when I open Media Center I get the message "Messenger
failure" and to make sure it is installed on my computer -I didn't use to get
this -is there a way to get rid of it or install messenger -thank you- Els
I have installed service pack 3

Thank you very much Jonathan - I used method 2 and all is well. Your fix was
very easy - I manually did it -thank you again-Els
