can't capture video manually in Movie Maker
Hello,

Recently, I have been trying to capture video from my Sony Digital 8
camcorder using Movie Maker. Everytime I try to capture it, I get an
"unknown error has occurred" message. I am able to capture video if I choose
the "capture the entire tape" option. However, I don't want to do that
because the video I need is on the end of the tape.

I am able to capture the video when I choose the DV-AVI option, however, the
file is huge and I am still unable to save the movie.
I am using:
* Windows XP Home edition
* firewire connection

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: can't capture video manually in Movie Maker
Try using windv, a free very useful app to capture adn edit in movie maker.
It'll be adv.avi file again, but it will at least ensure that your pc can
capture and that then means a MM problem.
