Uninstall MM
If I just uninstalled MM, When I rebotted would service pack 2 automatically
reinstall it ?, Also what previous projects would be lost if any ?.
Just a thought.

Also could I use the settings from my laptop MM as an example for my desktop ?

Re: Uninstall MM
MM is very hard to uninstall on it's own as it's part of windows.
It will need a repair install to re-install it.
No projects would be lost, unless you deleted them by mistake when trying to
uninstall MM.
Not sure what you mean by the last one, but you could manually copy the
settings in your laptop on your desktop.

Re: Uninstall MM
Could you elaborate on repair install ?, where is it, how do I do it.
I have no XP program disks.
A computer repair guy mentioned this, but wanted $40.00 to a $100.00 to do it.

Maybe the following article would be worth a look:

What can I do if I upgrade to Windows
XP SP2 and Windows Movie Maker 2.1
is not installed successfully?

Re: Uninstall MM
Hi Graham
I have done everything I can think of except a repair installation, I am
looking for direction to do that, Something must be corrupter in my SP2
because it say's I have MM 2.2 with SP2 installed, If I did I could save a
movie to DVD, (I can in my laptop) so I don't know what else to do.

Re: Uninstall MM
You can save to DVD if you have the Windows Media Center edition.

If just WindowsXP there is no Burn to DVD capability.

You need a third-party application.
