Scrolling text goes black during DVD playback

I've made a movie, using Movie Maker 2, where one section near the middle has
a title block with a narative running as scrolling text (like the Star Wars
intro.) This scrolling text runs fine on the computer during playback.
Movie is then saved and burned to a DVD using Nero software. The DVD plays
fine in other players until the scrolling text is reached. The screen goes
blank after a few seconds of showing the text and, as soon as the text shot
is finished, the remainder of the movie plays fine. What do I do differently
to make the title block play to completion?
