video playback choppy after capture
i have been using mm for a few years and have hours of footage loaded from my
camera. on occassion though, after capturing, the video plays choppy, almost
as though it is stop action - kinda of a frame-frame-stop, frame-frame-stop
hiccup. there seems no consistant reason. it will do that for a few days
then work fine for months. this time, however, it's not returning to fine.
i am capturing to a free 200gb disc, turned off all virus and spy ware as
well as all obvious background programs.

help!!!!
