Duration of individual clips

Duration of individual clips
I have individual clips consisting of text - can I increase the duration of
the frame so people can get a chane to read it and how do you do this?

Place your pointer on the edge of the clip
and you should see a double red arrow.
Dragging the double red arrow will adjust
the duration of the clip...you should see a
tooltip that displays the change.

Do you know if there's a way to update the duration of the frame or the
duration of a transition for a batch of frames or transitions?

The duration adjustment must be made
before adding the files to the timeline.
