Problem publishing movie

My 11 year old son uses the movie maker to create vids and puts them on
youtube. Recently he has had a problem making publishing one of his videos.
After he published it, at a certain point in the video, the screen went
black. The video clips do not display, but the audio continues to work fine.
Can anyone offer an explanation and/or a solution to the problem? It would
be much appreciated.

Another trick that sometimes works is to uncheck the boxes in Tools|
Options| Compatibility.
