=======================
Drag a second instance of the video
clip to the Audio/Music track.

Right click / Mute the Audio track.

Now you can split the video and not
affect the audio.

Also.....

In Windows Movie Maker 2.1....
To save only the audio track of a video clip...
drag the video to the "Audio/Music" track.
Then go to...File / Save Movie File / ect...ect......

This will result in a .wma audio file. Be sure
to drag the clip all the way to the left on the
timeline or you will have dead air at the
beginning.

I know how to move and save the audio the problem is when the audio is moved
and i try to delete portion of the clip it moves the other clips over putting
the video out of sync I don't want the video to shift when i delete that clip
I want an empty space to fill in with another pic

==============================
When you remove a section of video...
the remaining clips will shift to the left.

Your best chance of solving this riddle
is that you must fill the space with pictures
or video of the same duration.

Just to clarify...you can drag / drop new
pictures / video clips between the clips
that remain on the timeline.
