Recording TV - Premium Channels - DVD creation

I have a new setup which includes Vista Home Premium - TV Wonder External
CableCard - Premium Channels are accessible - I am able to record movies - I
am able to display the movies - not able to burn to DVD - why? I realize
there is some copywriter coding someplace which is probably blocking the DVD
creation, but I also have a Cable Channel DVR from the cable TV company from
which I am able to burn DVDs without hindrance. How do I get around this
with my computer multimedia setup?
