Completely Lost Windows Movie Maker

Used to make my family movies on WMM, I have been using Nero, but decided I
prefer WMM.
Problem is..........its gone.
Not to sure whats happened.
Ive tried to "Download it" but nothing seems to happen, think an Error came
up a few days back, but since then, nothing. Appreciate anyones advice on
getting this back.

Perhaps you have just lost the shortcut to WMM?

Start>Run moviemk.exe

Does that get you anything?

You cannot download WMM without upgrqading to Windows SP2 AFAIK

Thanks Gord that worked ! its not comming up in "All Programs" though,I have
to keep going to "Run", how to I get it back into there?
How can I upgrade, gosh im taxing your patience! lol. thanks mate.

Browse to C:\Program Files\Movie Maker

Right-click on moviemk.exe and Send to>Desktop(create shortcut)

Or just right-click on desktop and New>Shortcut

Browse to the above folder and select moviemk.exe

Once the shortcut is on your desktop you can drag it to all programs or just
leave it on the desktop.

mine really is gone - it starts up but then dies and tells me it encountered
an error

we've tried for two days searching these microsoft sites but found no help
anywhere

any suggestions?

You fail to mention your OS...if you are
running Vista...disregard the following
info about IE7.

Some WinXP users have reported problems
after installing IE7. If this applies to your
situation ...uninstalling IE7 may be worth
a try.
