If you tried to delete it by using system restored you could possibly have
buggered up something.
2 things to try :
1) re-download and re -nstall WMP11. Make sure auto-run is turned on : Right
click on My Computer > Explore > right click on your CD/DVD player >
Properties > Autorun > make your choices as per the click down menu. Did
that lot fix things ? if not :
2) the work around fix is :
a) to rip CD's use this :
http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/ its free,
don't forget to download the lame encoder as well if you want to rip to
mp3's
b) to play cd's etc :
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ its free
c) to burn things :
http://cdburnerxp.se/
